Thanks for stopping by. What do you think of our palette wood stairs? I had pulled the carpet off when I couldn’t stand the stains and ugliness of it any longer. I removed staples with needle nosed pliers until my hands ached. The stairs and risers were just plywood pieced together, so just a paint job wasn’t going to work. At the time, my budget for this project was about $0. Enter free pallet wood! It’s all oak in varying colors. Rob put each piece on like a puzzle. Yes, it did take forever but I think the results have been worth it. We used pine boards for the top of each step and stained them. The fronts are covered in a satin polyurethane with no stain. They have held up for years and we still love them. Do you have any pallet projects in the works? Let me know in the comments. As always, if you have any questions, please let us know.
